The University of Glasgow has a long and distinguished history going back to 1451. Today it is a very modern academic institution, one of the UK's leading universities. Amongst its many schools, The Adam Smith Business School, is one of the most popular destinations for foreign students, particularly from China. The school is based on the principles of economics and business ethic laid out in the 18th century's by Adam Smith, one of the university's most famed student. He obtained in 1751 a professorship at Glasgow teaching moral philosophy, and from 1787 to 1789 occupied the honorary position of Lord Rector of The University. The school is now regarded not only as one of the best in Britain but also very highly regarded worldwide.
Carine Chu, is Business Development Manager with TRB (Temple Restaurant Beiing) which also includes TRB Bites at Donghuamen and COPPER events space on Nafu Hutong. Carine is a graduate of the Adam Smith Business School and in today's feature she talks of going to Glasgow to study at this top academic institute.
