‘Warhorse’ soon to be performed in Beijing

“战马”即将在京开演

War Horse is an unforgettable theatrical event which takes audiences on an extraordinary journey from the fields of rural Devon in southwest UK to the trenches of First World War France.

战马是道戏剧大餐。在第一次世界大战的时代背景下，它将带领观众走过英国西南德文郡的农庄，踏上法国战场，展开一段传奇难忘的旅程。

At the outbreak of World War One in Europe, Joey, young Albert’s beloved horse, is sold to the Cavalry and shipped to France. He’s soon caught up in enemy fire, and fate takes him on an extraordinary journey, serving on both sides before finding himself alone in no man’s land. Albert, who remained on his parents’ Devon farm, cannot forget Joey. Though still not old enough to enlist he embarks on a treacherous mission to find him and bring him home.

一战在欧洲爆发后，小阿尔伯特的爱骑乔伊被卖给了骑兵营，来到了法国。它很快就落入敌军手中，在命运的指引下展开了一段传奇的旅程，做过英军的坐骑，也曾被德军驾驭，最后来到了一片无人的之地。留在了德文郡农庄的阿尔伯特对乔伊念念不忘，虽然因年幼无法应征入伍，他依然踏上了寻马的征途，最终把乔伊带回了家。

Based on the beloved novel by Michael Morpurgo, this powerfully moving and imaginative drama, filled with stirring music and songs, is a show of phenomenal inventiveness. At its heart are astonishing life-sized horses by South Africa’s Handspring Puppet Company, who bring breathing, galloping, charging horses to thrilling life on stage.

该戏剧改编自麦克?莫波格的知名小说，感人至深，想象丰富，音乐动人，充满了创造力。戏剧的亮点是由南非回春手木偶公司制作的木偶马，尺寸等同真实的马，能模拟呼吸、飞奔，在舞台上极富生命力。

Warhorse will be performed from 4 September with fifty performances over six weeks at the NTC on Guang’anmen Wai Dajie before moving on to Shanghai.

9月4号开始，战马将在位于广安门外大街的中国国家大剧院开演，演期约为6个礼拜，将有50多名演员参演。北京站结束后，战马将前往上海表演。
