Jeremiah Jenne is Manager at The Hutong near Beixinqiao. Today he is talking with Bruce about some of the events held this year at the Centre and what will also be coming up soon.
The Hutong recently had a successful Summer Fayre - photos from the event are on Bruce's web page. Jeremiah talks of the visit by Australian writer AJ Betts including cycling around Zhonggulou and having lunch at Sue Zhou's unique Hani-themed Yunnan restaurant. They talk also about the arrival of the bamboo bikes in Beijing. Hopefully they will encourage more people to return to cycling.
Jeremiah talks of the constant expansion of the Hutong's many programmes across China, including new developments in Hong Kong - former Manager, Morgan O'Hara has moved there to manage that business extension.
Jeremiah talks also of his own travel plans for later this year and of how his time increasingly is taken up with educational, particularly university groups, coming from the U.S. for example, to learn more about the culture of China.
