Unit9 冬日乐翻天 My Childhood in Winter 03

ZM: Do you guys still remember the first time you went skating and skiing? Who took you to ski and how did you feel? Were you scared?
K: Yes, I have very clear memories of my first time wearing ice skates and stepping onto the ice — I was so excited that I don’t recall being scared; however, I can imagine my mom was somewhat afraid while watching her children slip’n slide’n fall on the smooth surface of the ice!
Dr. Christoph Dammann: Sledding and skating is indeed part of my sweet childhood memories. I grew up in a little town in northern Germany close to a big lake. Some winters the ice was not covered by snow, which could make skating difficult. The ice was like a mirror surface with the dark green color of a wine bottle. We did not go skiing when I was young, but I tried it later on holiday in Austria. It was a great fun and on the third day I could not even move anymore because every single muscle caused great pain.
