In a quiet Hutong alley near Beixinqiao is The Hutong. This is an exciting cultural exchange centre with a range of programmes and events introducing people to a wide range of Chinese cultural, educational and travel experiences.
Bruce is talking with Jeremiah Jenne, Manager of The Hutong. Instead of meeting on the centre's rooftop terrace they are talking in the delightful garden courtyard of a nearby restaurant - the reason? The Hutong is being prepared for the annual summer fayre taking place all day tomorrow. This event will bring together many vendors with a range of beautiful craft goods along with many familiar food producers and a range of craft beers.
The Hutong Fayres are always excellent social events enjoyed by many locals and people from a range of countries worldwide living in Beijing.
