现在继续介绍第三种名词从句：即特殊问句变成的名词从句。
特殊问句即指以疑问词(who、whom、what、which、why、how、where 等)起首的问句，此类的问句皆不可以用 Yes / No 回答，一共有四种：
a. 含 be 动词的特殊问句
疑问词 + be 动词 + 主词
What is your name?(你叫什么名字?)
Where are you going?(你们要去哪儿?)
Who were they?(他们是谁?)
→ 名词从句：
疑问词 + 主词 + be 动词
what your name is(你叫什么名字)
where you are going(你们要去哪儿)
who they were(他们是谁)
b. 含 do、does、did 助动词的特殊问句
疑问词 + do / does / did + 主语 + 动词原形
Why did you cry? (你为什么哭了?)
When does the train arrive?(火车什么时候会来?)
How do you spell that word?(这个字怎么拚?)
→ 名词从句：删除 do / does / did
疑问词 + 主语 + 动词应有的时态
why you cried(你为什么哭了)
when the train arrives(火车什么时候会来)
how you spell that word(这个字怎么拚)
c. 含一般助动词(如can、will、should、would、could)及完成时助动词(have、has、had)的特殊问句
疑问词 + 一般助动词∕完成时助动词 + 主语 + 动词原形∕过去分词
Whom should I call for help?(我应打电话找谁求助?)
Which apple would you like to choose to eat?(你想选择吃哪一颗苹果?)
How have you been?(你近来可好?)
→ 名词从句：删除 do / does / did
疑问词 + 主语 + 一般助动词∕完成时助动词 + 动词原形∕过去分词
whom I should call for help?(我应打电话找谁求助)
which apple you would like to choose to eat(你想选择吃哪一颗苹果)
how you have been(你近来可好)
d. 疑问代词(who、what、which)在特殊问句中作主语时，改成名词从句时，结构不变
(1.) 特殊问句：
Who is coming?(谁会来?)
↓
(主语)
→ 名词从句：
who is coming(谁会来)
(2.) 特殊问句：
What happened last night?(昨晚发生什么事了?)
↓
(主语)
→ 名词从句：
what happened last night(昨晚发生什么事)
(3.) 特殊问句：
Which one was elected?(哪一个人获选了?)
↓
(主语)
→ 名词从句：
which one was elected(哪一个人获选)
以上疑问词引导的名词从句与之前讲述过的 that 名词从句及 whether 名词从句一样，视作一个单数名词，在句中可作主语、宾语，或置 be 动词之后作补足语。
主 语：Where am I going is none of your business.(╳)
Where I am going is none of your business.(○)
→ (我要到哪里不关你的事。)
What does he plan to do has nothing to do with me.(╳)
→ What he plans to do has nothing to do with me. (○)
(他打算做什么与我无关。)
宾 语：I don't know why is he crying. (╳)
→ I don't know why he is crying.(○)
(我不知道他为何在哭。)
Could you tell me where is the train station?(╳)
→ Could you tell me where the train station is?(○)
(你可以告诉我火车站在哪吗?)
补足语：The problem is who will support us.(○)
(问题是谁会支持我们。)
